Merry Christmas!
We ended 2007 on such an exciting note. On Christmas Eve we put all the presents
under the tree. The children and the dogs were very excited. Tuscan was already
whining for his present; Coco was hoping that nobody would notice if she quietly
took her present to an isolated area for closer observation, and Crilly, our poodle,
decided that he would have to take charge and guard the presents under the tree.
Christmas morning was so exciting. The girls and all the animals were up very early.
We could not stand Tuscan's ear-piercing whining any more and decided to give the
dogs their presents first. Then we gave out all our gifts. Once all the presents were opened, everybody was very
happy and we all dashed off to give our best wishes to our guests.

Wedding bells are ringing!
Wow! this was so exciting. We had our first wedding here at our lovely Enchanted
Garden. It was a very hot day, not even a breath of wind. We made a long table
inside our entertainment area and decorated it beautifully. The service was held in our "chapel" under the
bougainvillea flowers next to the pool. We lined up the pool loungers for all to sit on. The register was signed on our verandah and
the cake was also cut here. All this
activity caused a lot of interest among the animals and I had to constantly remind the
chickens that I did not appreciate their donations in our church. When the minister
started the service Tuscan decided to lie down at his feet. Spirit spotted from a distance
that their was something very interesting going on and he decided to come and
investigate. He was delighted to discover the flowers on the minister's table. When
Tuscan and I spoiled all his fun by not allowing him to nibble the flowers, he decided
to nibble the ministers pockets. At this stage the bride and groom were trying to
exchange rings. We all had a good laugh, the register was signed and the champagne
started to flow. After a very humorous speech by Peter, the
best man, we had a delicious meal. The guests all ended up in the pool and the girls
and I sneaked away quietly to sabotage the bridal car. Later in the evening just
before the last guest left, the girls and I sneaked away to decorate the bridal bed. The
bride and groom disappeared to have a quiet moment at the fire and we knew it was
time for us to go to bed.
