Feedback from our Happy Guests

Enchanted Garden more than I could attempt to describe...
Firstly a few words about the Jacka Family. Sonia, the Boss, will greet you with warmth and enthusiasm and introduce you to, and explain all the intricacies of your holiday home. Always happy to answer questions, advise and suggest. Doctor Peter Jacka has a practice in a nearby Township. He too is delighted to pass on his knowledge of the area, restaurants, wines, and routes. Don't speak to Peter about Football. He knows nothing! And, of course, Natasha and Nicole. Two very beautiful daughters. The resident animals and wildlife will amaze and fascinate you. From the queen, Penelope the pig, who will greet you with a friendly grunt when passing, to the Cape Eagle Owls, sugarbirds feasting on the fynbos, ducks, chickens, geese, ponies et al. All wonderful, sit out, glass of wine in hand, and just experience it. Noordhoek is scenically top notch, and the views from Enchanted Garden are unmatched. Sunsets can be mindboggling, cloud over the mountains changes constantly. The wind can be powerful, but it is bringing to you, across about 6000 miles of the Great Southern Ocean, the cleanest, purest air in the world. Locally you will find plenty of shops, large and small. See the presentation of the Food Lovers Market at the Longbeach Mall, and you will wonder how the European supermarkets can get it so wrong. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. Ask the Family. The drive into Cape Town is about thirty minutes. Via Chapmans Peak is the most interesting route. Take your camera. Cape Town. Superb City, more than I could attempt to describe. So seriously, get on and book. Enchanted Garden is amazing value. Book it first and arrange your flight later. Just leave a few weeks for Lorna and I. Go on, get to South Africa and enjoy the sun, the people and their smiles.

What more could you want?
Had a memorable weeks stay in the Chalet at Enchanted gardens. Spacious attractive accommodation with Sat.t.v. DVD, small library of books, DVD's available to loan. Huge master bedroom with ensuite bath, washbasin and w.c. second bedroom with bathroom with shower w.c. and washbasin adjacent. Well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee and sugar provided. Good supply of towels, washing up liquid etc. plus shampoo and conditioner. The Chalet has some wonderful paintings by Sonia, who is an established artist. The grounds are idyllic with a Koi carp pond, geese, chickens and the beautiful miniature ponies, who are happy to eat a carrot or apple from your hands. Trojan the Great Dane, was nearly as tall as us, and we can't forget to mention Coco the Dachshund and Penelope the pig who is a real character. Several swing chairs with padded seats offer a serene place to take in the stunning mountain and seaview. The Games room is amazing with billiard/snooker table, bar, dining table and chairs and of course a braai. Best of all Sonia, Peter and their staff will take great care of you, and make you feel so sad to leave. I feel that I am being very unselfish by writing this review, as the Enchanted Garden is already so popular that it is hard to find a free week, with some guests booking for next year as they leave. We will be back so please don't book the week that we want!!!

Thank you for everything while we stayed with you.
I just want to let you know that everything was wonderful, the accommodation is first rate, the little extras such as milk, fruit etc was much appreciated. And as for the location, I'm so envious it's untrue, I will dream about that view for the rest of my days. Cape Town is wonderful now, so different from what I remember from 15 years or so ago, it was good then, it's superb now! Rhiannon, my youngest, after a couple of days in Knysna said she missed Enchanted Garden and could we call in when we were back in Cape Town, says it all really, I've worked in hospitality management for 20 years, and I can't find fault with what you are offering. Thanks for a wonderful holiday, with hindsight I wish we'd stayed with you for the duration, hope we'll be able to visit again some day.

Highly Recommended!
Sonia was a wonderful welcoming hostess making our stay throughly enjoyable. All our needs were catered to and she went out of her way to help us with any questions we had (and we had many!) regarding the area, day trips or directions. We rented both the Chalet and Cottage and found both up to a high standard. The amazing view and relaxed atmosphere of the property made our stay most enjoyable.
